My daughter is getting to the age where I need to play more creative, interesting games with her. She is starting to have a longer attention span and is tired of her "baby" toys. So, after some research on the web I put together this fun little puppet show.
First, I used this cute little drawing as my template. I traced outlines of the body, wings and windshield. I placed those over the felt and cut around them to get my shapes. I doubled up on the felt when cutting out the body so that I could get two shapes exactly the same.
Secondly, I used a glue gun to put it all together. I used a permanent marker for the round windows. Also, I glued the top wing in between the two pieces of felt.
Lastly, I used these airplane poems to do a little show with my daughter. She really liked putting them on her fingers!

I had a lot of fun with this and making the airplanes probably took me total an hour which I did while she was napping. I thought it would be more complicated then it is, but I found it to be fast and easy!
